Conroe & Lake Conroe
Lake living, small-town roots. Know the real cost before you buy.
Conroe is the county seat of Montgomery County and one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas, with a historic downtown and new neighborhoods spreading out from I-45. Just west sits Lake Conroe, about 21,000 acres of open water surrounded by golf communities, waterfront estates, and weekend homes. On the lake, the real cost goes well beyond the price: flood zones, insurance, bulkheads, boat docks, MUD taxes, and which of three school districts you're in. I run those numbers before you write an offer.
