Houston
Big city. Bigger range. Know the real cost before you buy.
Houston is the largest city in Texas, and few cities give you more choices. You can live in a walkable Heights bungalow, a high-rise in Uptown, an estate in Memorial, or a lakeside home in the suburbs, all within one metro. That range is the opportunity, and it's also the trap. Two homes at the same price can cost very different amounts to own once you add property taxes, MUD fees, flood insurance, and your commute. I run those numbers before you write an offer.

School districts
Houston ISD serves most of the city. Depending on the address, homes inside city limits can also be zoned to Spring Branch, Cy-Fair, Katy, Fort Bend, Alief, Aldine, Klein, or Humble ISD. Always confirm zoning by the exact address, because district lines don't follow neighborhood names.
