The Woodlands
Know the real cost before you buy.
The Woodlands is a 28,000-acre master-planned community north of Houston, built inside a forest on purpose. Homes sit under tall pines, connected by pathways to schools, parks, and shopping, with The Woodlands Waterway running through Town Center. Every village has its own age, lot sizes, and feel. Some sit in Montgomery County, Creekside Park sits in Harris County, and tax rates, MUD fees, and school districts can change from one street to the next. I run those numbers before you write an offer.

Grogan's Mill
Grogan's Mill is the original village in The Woodlands, on the east side of the community and close to Town Center. Detached houses from the earliest years of the community line the streets, and many of them have been renovated. Townhomes sit closer to the commercial core.

Panther Creek
Panther Creek sits just north of Grogan's Mill. It is still close to The Woodlands Mall and Town Center, with detached houses on wooded lots and a village shopping area for daily stops.

Cochran's Crossing
Cochran's Crossing is a large village west of the original villages. Detached houses from the 1980s and 1990s are common. Some lots face a lake or a golf course, and that frontage belongs in the cost conversation.

Indian Springs
Indian Springs is on the northwest side of The Woodlands. Many streets have larger wooded lots, and some lots border a golf course. Research Forest Drive is the practical route for everyday errands.

Research Forest
Research Forest Drive is the main east-west road through The Woodlands. This page is for the houses and daily stops along that corridor. It does not replace the village page for a specific address. Confirm which village the lot sits in before you compare sales.

Alden Bridge
Alden Bridge is a north-central village, built out mainly in the 1990s and early 2000s. Detached houses, many of them two-story plans, sit on wooded streets with a village center for daily errands.

Sterling Ridge
Sterling Ridge is the far-west village. Most houses were built in the 2000s, and later sections are not the same age as the first streets. Sterling Ridge shopping is the local stop.
